  1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CPD Masterclass online platform (“Platform”) and participation in our CPD courses, assessments, and related services (“Services”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.


  1. Definitions
    • “CPD Masterclass”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to the CPD Masterclass company and its authorised representatives.
    • “User”, “you”, “your” refers to any person accessing or using the Platform.
    • “Services” include online CPD courses, assessments, certificates, and related learning services.
    • “Platform” refers to the CPD Masterclass website, learning portal, and associated digital services.

  1. Eligibility

To use CPD Masterclass, you must:

    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
    • Provide accurate and complete registration information

  1. Use of the Platform

You agree to:

    • Use the Platform for lawful purposes only
    • Not share your login credentials with others
    • Not upload or distribute harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
    • Not attempt to circumvent or compromise the security of the Platform
    • Not redistribute or copy course materials without written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.


  1. Course Enrolment & Access

Enrolment is subject to verification of eligibility by the University of Cape Town. If a participant is rusticated, suspended, or subject to any active academic or disciplinary sanction imposed by UCT, they may be denied enrolment, access to the course, or progression within the programme. Such determinations are final and are not appealable through the CPD Masterclass.

    • Access to courses is granted once payment is received and confirmed.
    • Course access is provided for a defined period stated on the course page.
    • CPD Masterclass may update, modify, or improve course content at any time.
    • Users are responsible for ensuring they have the required internet access and devices.

  1. CPD Certificates

CPD certificates are issued only if:

    • You are deemed eligible by the University of Cape Town at the point of verification
    • You have completed all course modules and assessments
    • You meet the minimum passing requirements
    • Your identity can be verified if required
    • You have complied with all Platform policies

Certificates may be issued electronically and may be stored for auditing or verification purposes.

Issuance of a certificate does not automatically result in the allocation of CPD points. Participants are responsible for submitting their University of Cape Town issued certificate to the Engineering Council of South Africa or the relevant professional body to formally claim CPD points. CPD Masterclass and the University of Cape Town do not submit CPD claims on behalf of participants and accept no responsibility for the outcome of CPD point allocations.


  1. Assessments

By completing assessments, you confirm that:

    • All work submitted is your own
    • You will not commit academic dishonesty or plagiarism
    • You will not share assessment content publicly or with other learners

Violation of these rules may result in disqualification, withholding of certificates, or account termination.


  1. Payments
    • All course fees must be paid in full before access is granted.
    • As the registered course participant, you are personally responsible for the payment of course fees, regardless of sponsorship or third-party commitments (e.g., your employer).
    • Once a registered course participant has made payment, cancellations will not be accepted.
    • Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise indicated.
    • Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways.
  • CPD Masterclass does not store full credit card details. 

  1. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including videos, text, images, assessments, and course materials, is the exclusive property of CPD Masterclass or its content partners.

You may not:

    • Copy, distribute, resell, or reproduce course materials
    • Use our content for commercial purposes without written consent

    1. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected.


  1. Limitation of Liability

CPD Masterclass will not be liable for:

    • Losses due to inaccurate information provided by the user
    • Technical issues beyond our control
    • Any third-party actions, system outages, or unauthorised access

We do not guarantee that completing a course will result in employment, promotions, or professional outcomes.


  1. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

    • You violate these Terms
    • You engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour
    • Required payments are not completed

We may also restrict access for maintenance or system updates.


  1. Amendments to Terms

CPD Masterclass may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms take effect upon posting on the Platform.


  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
